Location: Romania – Moldova

Focus: Passenger vehicles and people carriers at land border crossing points.

Pilot use case 3 tests the AutoBorder drive-through concept at a land border between Romania and Moldova, where approximately 9.2 million vehicle-crossings occur annually within their six border checkpoints. Current passport controls can take over a minute per vehicle, while queuing may last up to an hour.

The scope and process are the same as in PUC 1, but adapted to private cars and minibuses.
