AutoBorder at the CERIS Projects to Policy Seminar

AutoBorder is taking part in the annual Projects to Policy Seminar (PPS), held in Brussels on 10–11 June 2026. The PPS brings together EU-funded research teams from across the Civil Security domain - covering all the topics from border management, to disaster-resilient societies, the strengthening of security research and innovation, and the fight against crime and terrorism, - and puts them in direct contact with the policymakers shaping the field.

Co-organised by the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME) and the European Research Executive Agency (REA), the seminar is one of the activities of the Community for European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS). Its purpose is to narrow the distance between scientific innovation and concrete EU policy. It serves both sides of the research-policy relationship, helping project teams stay current with policy priorities, and giving policy officers a window into recent findings and the solutions emerging from across the projects.

As one of the security research projects newly launched under Horizon Europe Cluster 3, AutoBorder will have the opportunity to present its work to some of the most relevant European policymakers and to engage with peer projects working on shared challenges. For AutoBorder, the PPS is a first occasion to position its approach to automated, vehicle-integrated border management within the wider European security research community and the policy conversation around it.
